American Computational is pleased to offer an automated solution to that problem for the most popular of those programs: Parson's Address Book. Using our PConvert utility, a user can modify all entries in a particular database in a matter of seconds.
PConvert has a simple user interface with which the user
selects of phone number to change. We haven't spent time on
a fancy interface which just drives the cost up. We
focused on what you need: a quick, reliable solution. The graphics,
as you can see, provide the control you need without a lot
of expensive bells and whistles.
The program reads through the selected database and displays all area code/exchange entries in the file. By "clicking" on the combination of interest, or by manually entering the combination of interest, the user specifies the out-of-date combination, enters the new combination, and the program does the rest. When you have updated all the numbers you need, you save the modified data back to disk and you're done.
No missed entries, no tedious searching, no typos on new entries.
We originally intended PConvert to be used with Parson's Address Book. However, it uses a stream I/O method which should make it able to process most, if not all, other electronic address book formats as well. If it does not work on yours, we will work with you to modify it so that it does.
When area codes change, PConvert is ready to ease you through the transition at a very affordable price.
